This species is most recognised for the significantly raised, pyramidal-feature on the top of the skull behind the frontals. The holotype is just the rear section of the neocranium however more recently discovered specimens, like the one below, showcase more of a complete skull including fine villiform teeth.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
  • Large raised pyramidal section at the top of the skull  (1)
  • No evidence of sclerotic ring in eye orbit (2)
  • Fine villiform teeth at the front of the premaxilla (3)
