Identification Guides

Identifying your London Clay fish fossil finds can be fairly complicated as fish skulls and skeletons are never perfectly preserved. Sometimes you might just find a section of jaw with a few teeth while on other occasions you might just find an isolated vertebrae. As nothing is ever perfect, below are a series of guides that I’ve created to help you narrow down your fossil finds to make it easier to explore the different species I showcase in the Fossils section of the website.
